BTS‘ eldest member Jin, known to fans by his nickname Worldwide Handsome, is living up to that moniker with his latest gig: Gucci brand ambassador.
The luxury fashion house announced that it would be adding the 31-year-old K-pop star to its ambassador ranks on Wednesday. Other Gucci ambassadors include NewJean’s Hanni, Miley Cyrus, Squid Games star Lee Jung Jae and Korean rapper Jay Park.
Jin is expected to represent Gucci across a variety of initiatives and events. “Gucci is an iconic brand with a long-standing heritage and modernity,” Jin said in a release. “It is meaningful and thrilling to be a part of such a house.”
The singer expressed admiration for Gucci’s creative director Sabato De Sarno, according to a release from the brand, who in turn noted his excitement about Jin taking on the role. “His warm and kind personality is truly magnetic, and his style is simply unique,” De Sarno said in a release. “He is a generous and extraordinary artist who is able to move people with his music, which makes us even more honored to share this journey with him.”
