When Colleen Hoover wrote It Ends with Us , a moving novel that lays the cards on the table when it comes to toxic relationships, she never imagined the unprecedented phenomenon that would accompany it , much less that Blake Lively would be the actress who would lead the film adaptation . But that’s what happened. The Gossip Girl actress returns to the big screen (next August 9 in Spain) and does so in the skin of Lily Bloom , a woman with a traumatic childhood who moves to Boston to start from scratch and open her own flower shop . A dream to pursue that the Los Angeles native has already wanted to immerse us in. Lively is in New York on a promotional tour for the imminent premiere and yesterday she dazzled, in less than 24 hours, with three outfits that will captivate those who adore flowers as much as the film’s protagonist.
She was first seen on the Upper West Side in two very different looks. The first was a semi-transparent baby blue dress with a crew neck and no sleeves . The design consisted of a top with a celestial print of angels making music, a field of daisies and butterflies and a midi maxi skirt made from feathers dipped in pastel tones . It belonged to Dauphinette, the brand of the New York creative Olivia Cheng, which she completed with a multicoloured chain belt, rings and dangling earrings in an XL key and pointed-toe heels to match the main outfit, all elements studded with rhinestones.
She later conquered the Big Apple with another floral print creation . A white ankle-length dress with a contrasting pattern, made up of a fitted halterneck top and a ruffled asymmetrical skirt . On this occasion, the real leader of the construction was the footwear: the Carnaval 120 model by Christian Louboutin, a peep toe in powder pink satin with three-dimensional flowers on the back. She also finished off the romantic proposal with dangling earrings, large bracelets and rings in the line of the equation. In terms of beauty , both creations were worn with a low, wavy ponytail.
